Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Baby Puzzles (“the app”) is developed and operated by Dongqing Yang, an individual developer (“we”, “us”). The app is made for children, so we built it to work without collecting any information about the people who use it. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device and why.
The short version
- The app does not collect any data. It has no account, no sign-in, and does not send anything about you or your child to us or to anyone else.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or other third-party software.
- Everything stays on your device. Progress and settings are stored only on the device where the app is installed.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your name, email address, or payment details.
Information stored on your device
To work, the app keeps the following on your device. None of it leaves the device, and we cannot access it.
- Progress: which pictures and puzzle sizes have been completed (the stars), and a record of each completed puzzle — the picture, the size, and the time — used for the Progress page for parents.
- Settings: sound, music, the faded picture on the board, and the play-time limit.
- Play-time state: how long the current session has lasted and when the current break ends, so the limit keeps working if the app is closed and reopened.
The app does not use iCloud or any other online storage. Parents can clear the play history at any time in Settings → Progress → Clear progress history. Deleting the app removes all of this information.
Permissions
The app does not ask for any permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, or notifications.
Purchases
The app offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (Unlock All Puzzles). Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email address, or payment information. The app checks whether the purchase has been made using Apple’s on-device purchase records. How Apple handles your information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Crash reports
If you have chosen in your device’s settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and performance data. These reports do not identify you or your child, and we use them only to fix problems. You can change this choice at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children’s privacy
The app is designed for children and is intended for the Kids category of the App Store. The app does not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children — or from anyone — and contains no third-party advertising or analytics. This is how we meet the requirements of laws such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union.
Settings, purchases, and every link that leaves the app (such as this policy or the system Settings) are behind a parental gate — a short math question for a grown-up — so that children cannot reach them by accident.
When you contact us
Email is the only way we receive any personal information, and only if you choose to write to us. We then receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to reply to you, and we delete them once your request has been handled. Please do not include personal information about your child in your message.
What we do not do
- We do not collect personal information through the app, and we never sell or share personal information.
- We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We do not collect analytics about how the app is used.
- We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or any other data from the device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because the app does not collect personal information, the information it uses stays on your device, where you can clear it in the app or remove it by deleting the app. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to access or delete your messages. If you have any question about your rights, email us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
